"Skyv" at Kunstnerforbundet Heidi Sands latest solo exhibition is presented at Kunstnerforbundet in Oslo Febuary 4th - March 5th 2006. The exhibition presents rotating pieces of work mounted side by side on the wall. Interaction between layers of circular discs causes interference as well as kaleidoscopic effects. >>> Kunstnerforbundet
public commissions
Heidi Sand takes on public commissions. In 2004 she completed a commission for the Chapel at Fantoft nursing home in Bergen.
The summer of 2006 she finished an order
of three wall-objects in sterling silver for St. Olavs Hospital, Trondheim.
consultations Heidi Sand has been appointed as an art consultant for different public art projects.
Bærum Culture Center in Sandvika is especially recognized for the use of electronic art placed in an architectural context. >>> The responsible architect is Snøhetta, the same firm to develop the Bibliotteheca Alexandrina in Egypt and the new Cultural Center to rise at Ground 0 in New York City. >>> She is an art consultant for The University Collage at Gjøvik, Futhark Architects, artist Børre Sæthre.
Sand has been appointed by the The National Foundation for Art in Public Buildings as the leader of the Art Committee for the Department of Informatics, University of Oslo, due to be finished in 2008.

As the director of RAM gallery in Oslo, from 1995-2002, Heidi Sand has achieved
an overall knowledge of the art scene in Norway. RAM gallery presents
specialized and experimental art that emphasizes on room related exhibitions. >>> RAM galleri
exhibition projects and catalogues The first time Norwegian jewelry artists as a group presented their work internationally was in 1986 when Heidi Sand took the initiative to coordinate an exhibition of 12 jewelry artists in the USA. Since then she has organized and coordinated a number of exhibition projects and has been the editor of several catalogues.

For a newly established jewelry shop, Smykketeatret in Oslo, she has designed a collection that is now available in the store.
Sand has also done assignments like creating heart-shaped coca-cola caps to be shown on large billboards for an advertising company.
