With the ambition to become an important art and design destination, the space will introduce new artists regularly that will fit into a Scandinavian and sustainable context. We are constantly looking for new creatives to showcase their work at SORGENFRI. Our vision is to give easy access to long-living design products and one-of-a-kind pieces from the world’s archive as a reaction to today’s ‘fast fashion’. Kunstnerne i BRUDD inviterer til en annerledes utstillingspresentasjon i sine lokaler på Grünerløkka. Vi lever i en tid da menneskets handlinger påvirker og forandrer jordkloden dramatisk. Til denne utstillingen har kunstnerne ønsket å arbeide med et samfunnsaktuelt tema og problemer vi alle kan bli påvirket av i fremtiden. Utgangspunktet for utstillingen er en konstruksjon, inspirert av den utrydningstruede honningbienes sekskantede voksbygg. BRUDD kunsthåndverk feirer sitt 30 års jublium med utstillingen Koblinger. Samtlige av BRUDD sine medlemmer har fått et ord fra et annet medlem som bearbeides kunstnerisk. Arbeidene presenteres i induviduelle bokser, totalt 19 stk., en for hver av BRUDDs medlemmer. Jeg er tildelt ordet ÆSJ, som resulterte i Larver, pins, sølv og emalje. BRUDD artist-run gallery celebrates its 30th anniversary with the exhibition Koblinger (Links). Each of the19 BRUDD members received a word, to work with artistically, from one of the other BRUDD members. The works where presented in boxes where the artists created there own framework within their box. My word to work with was YUCK, which resulted in Larva pins, silver and enamel. ARKIVET deltar med prosjektet HERBARIUM, villblomster fra den norske flora
omformet til halssmykker i sølv, messing og oksidert kobber. De utvalgte produktene vil bli solgt i kommisjon hos Norway Designs under utstillingsperioden. The ARCHIVE participate with project Herbarium, wildflowers from the Norwegian flora transformed into necklaces in silver, brass and oxidized copper. The selected products will be sold on consignment at Norway Designs during the exhibition period.

ARKIVET hadde sin første utstillingspresentasjon som kunstgruppe ved Kunstbanken Hamar Kunstsenter, januar-mars i år. Is this my place? ble presentert i en kjeller med fire små rustikke rom; tykke murvegger og lav takhøyde. Med gamle skap, skuffer og lamper skapte vi en atmosfære som formidlet tanker rundt det at hver og en av oss som mennesker besitter egne arkiv. En lyd sløyfe av Tor Jørgensen følger utstillingen. Med en annen utstillingspresentasjon vil arbeidene nå bli vist ved Austellungsraum Sommer-Solheim under den internasjonale smykkemønstringen Munich Jewellery Week 2015. Der lanserer vi en katalog basert på foto fra vår første utstillingspresentasjon. Tekster som forsterker vårt konsept er skrevet av filosofen Mikkel B. Tin og av filmskaperen og forfatteren Dag Johan Haugerud.
The ARKIVET had their first artist group exhibition at Kunstbanken Hamar Kunstsenter January - March this year. Is this my place? was presented in a basement with four small rustic rooms; thick brick walls and low ceilings. With old cupboards, drawers and lamps we created an atmosphere that convey thoughts around the idea that each and one of us as human beings behold our own archives. A sound loop made by Tor Jørgensen follows the exhibition. The work is now to be shown during Munich Jewellery Week 2015 at Austellungsraum Sommer-Solheim, with an other exhibition sulution and a brand new catalogue that is based on visual images from our first exhibition presentation. Texts that reinforce our concept are written by the philosopher Mikkel B. Tin and by the filmmaker and author Dag Johan Haugerud. The exhibition and catalogue is sponsored by funds from The Norwegian Association for Arts and Craft, The Royal Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, The Royal Norwegian Consulate in Munich, and The Royal Norwegian Embassy in Berlin. ARKIVET er en nystartet kunstgruppe bestående av fem eletablerte kunstnere; Putte H. Dal, Hilde Dramstad, Elsie-Ann Hochlin, Camilla Luihn og Ella Heidi Sand. Is this my place? er deres første felles utstilling. Tematikken er spor; tilhørighet, egne liv. Steder og hendelser danner nye rom hvor en ønsker/ikke ønsker å være. Vi skaper utstillingsrom som gir betrakteren opplevelser, assosiasjoner og referanser til egne referanser. ARKIVET is a newly formed art group consisting of five well-established jewelry artists; Putte H. Dal, Hilde Dramstad, Elsie-Ann Hochlin, Camilla Luihn and Heidi Sand. Is this my place? is our first exhibition as a group. We all seek belonging. With references from our own lives - places we've been to or shadows of events - we create atmospheres of where we want to be, or try to escape from. Our intention is always to develop an atmosphere in the exhibition rooms in a manner which gives the viewer associations to their own affections. |
